~Rio Grande Cacti ~

We are going to be traveling this winter and will not be able to ship any plants until March.  We have disconnected our website and will put the links back up then.  We are sorry for any inconvenience  If you are in the New Mexico area see the retail locations below that carry our plants.

You can still communicate by e-mail at

Quality Cacti and Succulents!

Rio Grande Cacti specializes in cacti of the Southwestern United States.
We also offer a line of ornamental cacti and succulents.

Ask for our plants in Albuquerque and Santa Fe at the following locations:
Plants of the Southwest, both Albuquerque and Santa Fe
Santa Fe Greenhouses, Santa Fe and Osuna Nursery, Albuquerque
Or find our link on the internet also at:  My Garden

We also have plants at Enchanted Gardens in Las Cruces.

The nursery is located in Luis Lopez, New Mexico, USA, in the Rio Grande Valley.  Winter nights are cold, way below freezing but days are usually mild with sunshine.  We are on the northern edge of the Chihuahuan Desert.  See our expanded list with seedling hardy cacti such as Echinocereus triglochidiatus, fendleri, bonkerae, stramineus, dasyacanthus, Echinocactus horizonthalonius, texensis, Corypantha vivipara, cornifera, echinus, and many more.    As we gather seeds and plants are ready, we will continually update the webpage.  We grow cacti in unheated greenhouses and grow succulents in our heated areas.
